Maybe identical with Lowell Arms Co. In his witness in the killing of McCausland, W. H. Bown, gunmanufacturer of Pittsburgh, said, that John Lovell & Co. manufactured an .38 caliber revolver in great quantities under different brands. The brand "Alaska" was made for Turner & Ross. This model was made prior to 1870 and was sold at about $ 1.50. |
